与人类学结缘八年,颖军姐先后求学于厦门大学,北京人民大学和香港中文大学。现在她是香港中文大学人类学的在读博士。

Introduction for this episode:
In the past eight years, Ying Jun has studied at Xiamen University, Renmin University in Beijing, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is now a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In this episode, YingJun shares her reasons for choosing anthropology and her understanding of the subject. We focus on the fieldwork she is doing on "orphan" parenting and foster families in which she discusses the learning style of writing a “field diary”, identifying her multiple identities in it, how she builds trust with the local community and the rewards and challenges in the process. In addition, YingJun answers common questions about the career direction of anthropologists and recommends introductory book lists and programs. Finally, she delivers her words to the audience.
