00:46distanceswhat are the risks they're
00:48facingmigratory species are exposed to
00:52evengreater threats than species that
00:54don'tmigrate across multiple countries
00:57becausethey're exposed to Serious
00:59threatsof across their entire migratory
01:01routea whale that migrates from
01:04Antarcticaup the Atlantic Ocean into
01:07thenorthern hemisphere is exposed to
01:09tremendousrisks the same for migratory
01:12birdspecies bat species and many other
01:15speciesthis report is a wakeup call
01:18thatgovernments and all of us need to
01:21domore for migratory species and what
01:23aresome of the threats then what are
01:25humanswhat are people doing that is
01:27puttingthem at risk well one of the
01:30greatestthreats is climate change of
01:32coursebut because animals are forced to
01:35changetheir habitats to adapt but in
01:38additionhabitat loss habitat
01:40destructionand
01:42overexploitationuse killing of of wild
01:46speciesand destruction of their
01:48habitatsfor agriculture for Timber
01:51productionfor mining those are the
01:53greatestthreats to these species but we
01:55cando something about them okay well
01:58tellme what

02:04worktogether to to set aside protected
02:07areasto look and say what do the
02:09migratoryspecies need and the local
02:11peoplewho depend often on those species
02:14whatdo they meet need in terms of
02:16protectedareas how can we reduce or

02:20overexploitationwe know how to do
