场景描述: 在送Tom去幼儿园的路上,Alex和Tom遇到了隔壁小区的小女孩,Lily,她似乎在寻找她的小狗。Alex决定帮助她,同时教给Tom关于帮助他人的重要性。

Alex: (smiling) Good morning, Lily! What are you doing out here all by yourself?

Lily: (looking a bit upset) Hi, Mr. Alex. I'm looking for my puppy, Sparky. He ran out of the house and I can't find him anywhere.

Tom: Oh no, Sparky is lost?

Alex: Don't worry, Lily. We'll help you look for Sparky. Right, Tom?

Tom: Yes! We can be like detectives!

Lily: Thank you! He's small and has a red collar.

Alex: Let's split up. Lily, you check the park over there, and Tom and I will look down this street.

Tom: What does Sparky like? Maybe we can call him.

Lily: He loves his squeaky toy. I should have brought it with me!

Alex: That’s okay, Lily. We can use our voices. Dogs have good ears and Sparky knows you. Let's call his name as we walk.

Lily: Okay. Sparky! Sparky, where are you?

Tom: (calling out) Sparky! Come here, boy!

Alex: (looking around) Keep your eyes peeled, Tom. He might be hiding or scared.

Tom: Dad, what if he went really far?

Alex: Then we'll go as far as we need to find him. But let’s hope he’s nearby.

Lily: (pointing) Look! Isn’t that Sparky’s toy over there by the bench?

Alex: Good eye, Lily! Let’s check it out. Maybe he’s close.

Tom: (running ahead) I’ll get the toy!

Alex: (following Tom) Be careful, Tom!

Tom: (picking up the toy) Got it! Sparky! Look what I have!

Lily: (calling out) Sparky! Come see your toy!

Alex: (noticing movement behind a bush) Wait, what’s that over there?

Tom: (excitedly) I see him! It’s Sparky!

Sparky: (barking joyously and running towards them)

Lily: (kneeling down) Sparky! Oh, thank goodness. I was so worried!

Alex: (smiling) Looks like he just went on a little adventure.

Tom: We found him! We’re real-life heroes!

Lily: Thank you so much, Mr. Alex and Tom. You really helped me!

Alex: You’re welcome, Lily. It’s important to help out our friends and neighbors.

Tom: Can we play with Sparky for a bit?

Lily: Sure! Let’s go to the park for a little while.

Alex: That sounds like a great idea. But remember, Tom, we still need to get you to school.

Tom: Just a little while then!

Alex: (watching the kids play) That’s fine. A little playtime is always good.
