Don't put "ing" at end of state verbs, "seem""appear"
✓:She appears to be reasonable.
✓:She seems to be reasonable.
✗:She is seeming to be reasonable.
✗:She is appearing to be reasonable.
That's because they are state verbs, not action verbs. "Appearing" is right somehow, but it will be another meaning, and it is a action verb, meaning "performing".

present tense and present progressive tense are ok: be, being; feel, feeling;taste, tasting; smell, smelling; hear, hering.
He is being quiet right now.=He is quiet.=He is acting quiet.
"being" is really about this moment.
What's going on? U r being wired.
I am felling anxious. I feel anxious.
I am felling sick. I feel sick. It can be used both ways for sure. "ing form" stress something temporary.
Do you hear that? = Are you hearing that?
Do you see that?= Are you seeing that?
