How to interject in English positively
interject= interrupt
1. Right on(an interjection expressing agreement, encouraging and positive. It was used by Californian a lot in the past, but nowadays it's been adopted widely.)
Role play:
A: I wanna attend tennis tournament this weekend.
B: Right on!
A: I don't play it well, so I wasn't sure how I do.
2. awesome
A: I got that job I interviewed for.
B: Awesome.(请注意,否则就变成sarcastic)
A: I am excited. It seems like it is a great company.
3. Wow, cool.(very common)
A: I found some photos of my great grandma in the …I only have seen one photo of her before these.
B:Wow, cool.(注意语气,停顿、sincere)
4.Oh, nice(tone, pause are important)
A: I got a shout out at work today.
B: Oh, nice.
A: It was nice.It feels good to be appreciated.
