women would choose to be alone in the woods with a bear instead a human man. highlight women's fear of being alone , they can't trust a man .
1. people are not surprised about this choise, women are hurt by more men than bears . highlighting the inherite fear that women have of men. implys difficulties or violence may occur.
2. That's ridiculous, why would you choose a bear, highlighting the social issue .
1. hypothetical 假设的 / hypothetically
it's not a question, imaging a situation that probably would never happened. it's very unlikely, just to fine out what people would think or do in that situation, to introduce a question that it's not base on reality .
eg, Hypothetically, if you live in Polan do you think we hand out a lot ?
This is just hypothetical, but would you live in ...in the summer ?
Hypothecally, what if i want to eat ice cream right now ?
2. highlight 突出 强调
to point out something strongly, go deeper
3. push back 反驳 抗议
in a deep conversation with someone you explore different opinions and you want to push back, you want to mention your feel or reason .
eg, I am gonna push back with this idea , it doesn't necessarily mean you disagree or that's your strong opinion, you just want to further the conversation by mentioning and opposing view .
eg, Just to push back, have you ever been in the woods with the bear ?
I am gonna push back a little bit here and ask a question ,....
4. fair enough 有道理 说的对
just to comment what people are saying, you acknowledge what they are saying, but you might disagree.
to defend your side you can say , Fair enough, but have you thought about this?...
