Do you often go to a city park? A city park is a green space in an urban area that's open to the public. We can find trees, playgrounds, and sometimes even wildlife in parks. They offer a place for people to relax, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.
The first public park was built in Britain in the 19th century and was called Birkenhead Park. Since then, many other cities have followed suit and established their own parks.
Nowadays, city parks are really important. Firstly, they give people a place to exercise and relax. Secondly, they help protect the environment and support urban wildlife. And let's not forget, parks are great places for community gatherings and cultural events. Our lives would be so boring without these refreshing spaces!
