there were a lot of fun, but we went to school there are some mean people.
i remember Jerry used to mocked the teachers, it was funny sometimes but not that nice.
it was pretty rude when he was imitate everything Miss Smith said .
definitly.
do you remember when April got mad for Leo coping her outfit ?
of cause , she didn't seen to think imitation was the highest form of flattering .
i guess not.
my favorite time in high school was when all the students have the assembly 集会议会where they inpersonate the teachers.
so fun, they are pretty good at mimicking them .

AEE 2314: Mock Versus Mimic - What's the Difference?
treading water means you're working at something but getting nowhere.
踩水,常用于比喻在某个活动或工作中没有取得实质性进展，只是维持现状或消耗时间而已。
eg, I feel like I'm just treading water in my current job, making no progress.
Are you treading water with your English ?

can you do any impression 印象观感 of celebrities or anything like that ?
I'm good at mimicing accents 口音 right after i hear them, but I'm not very good at just out of blue 出乎意料的突然 doing someone.

mock and mimic both are coping or trying to inpersonate扮演模仿 in some way.
1. mock , more about potentially mean-spirited 心胸狭窄的卑鄙的 and tease someone .
eg, Sara hate that people mock her voice.
( make fun of her voice)

( degrading to you 侮辱轻视丧失体面 )
v. 嘲笑，（模仿）嘲弄；（照原尺寸）模仿，仿制（mock sth. up）
adj. 假装的，假的；仿真的；（考试、作战等）模拟的，演习的
n. <英>模拟考试（mocks）；笑柄；嘲笑；模仿，仿造（品）
adv. 虚假地，不诚实地
2. mimic, imitating 模仿效仿 someone ,more about doing an impression , it's not mean-spirited.
eg, Her daughter mimic her every move.
She practise mimicking celebrities for this school talent show.
( she's physically doing the same thing, not about what she's saying but she's doing)
v. 模仿（人的言行举止）；模拟（外观或效果）；模拟（另一种植物或动物）
n. 善于模仿的人；会模拟的动物（或植物）
adj. 模拟的，演习的
Imitation is the highest form of flattering .
模仿是奉承的最高形式
they see what you do maybe how you dress or how you speak and they want to be like you .
The famous TV Shows in America culture, but I'm not sure if it streams 在线收听/收看 globally.
3. to copy , copycat is more negative, 无主见的人；盲目的模仿者
eg, My sister copies everything i do, it can be frustrating .
you're a copy cat .
4. parrot, speak like the birds , more negative when you say someone parrot something, they're just going what other person said .
n. 鹦鹉；学舌者，机械模仿别人的人
v. 机械地模仿，鹦鹉学舌般重复
eg, she just parrot what her friend say and she needs to think for herself .
people will parrot when they hear a news .
5. inpersonate 扮演模仿
eg, He was caught trying to inpersonate a security guard.

1. Mock(kinda teasing, spirited for both doing impressions of sb and responding someone in a sarcastic way.)
Ex: Sare hate it when people mocked her voice.
2. Mimic(inmating someone, not spirited)
Ex: Her daughter mimiced her every move.
Ex: She practiced mimicing celebrities for school's talent show.
Difference: Mimic is neutral doing something funny or doing an impression.
Inmitation is a highest form of flatterry.
3. a copy cat(usually more negative)
Ex: My sister copys everything I do. It's frustrating.
4. parrot(could be used as a verb, not only being a noun)
Ex: She just parrots what her friends say, andshe needs to think for herself.(negative)
5. impersonate
Ex: Tom does the best impersonation of Jimmy Fallon.

Talk about the difference between mock and mimic.
It’s could sound the same thing,but not.
1.Mock:trying to impersonate,potentially spiritual;is a quite high level term
She hates someone mock her voice.(doesn’t mean teasing,just like teasing,make funny)

2.Mimic:(imitate someone,doesn’t mean spirit,neutral doing something funny )
Her daughter mimic her every move.
He is mimicking his mom.

She just parrots what’s her friends’ say:you need to think for yourself.
