2. decluter/sort
Ex: I have to decluter this room before I start packing. There are so much to sort out into this drawer.
☝Bonus: purge sth or give it away.
Ex: Do the purging first and pack what's leftover.
3. moving day
Ex: Moving day is Thursday, so I'm taking off work.
4. deep clean(go along with purging)
Tips: You want do deep clean in the new place before you move in.
5. packing supplies or moving boxes
Ex: Do we have any extral packing supplies? like bubble wrapper or moving boxes, I'm getting ready to move next week.
Role Play
A: So how was moving day?
B: Oh, stressful, I had a really deep clean the place. I let the place I left, and the one I 'm moving into is wow!
A: Thats a lot.
B: Yeah, I have packing supplies and moving boxes everywhere. I've barely unpacked anything.
A: I would just start declutering once you unpacked. Make sure you don't have too much, also sorting things by room.
B: Yeah!
A: You'll get there.
B: I know, thx Machelle!

Why is moving stressful?
Everything is kind of ... at the same time, you have no anchor锚 支柱 靠山 everything is in boxes. you don't have place to cook, you have to do take-it-out外卖 beacuse you're closing down the kitchen. the home is the anchor and when you lose that it can be stressful. things are really uncertain about where you're gonna be next.
1. packer包装机 / unpack卸货 打开包裹
eg, Have you unpack your boxes yet?
2. sort out分类整理/ declutter 清理
eg, i have to declutter this room before i start packing, there's so much to sort out into this drawers.
if you move frequently, you usually purging things清理不需要的东西 from other areas of time.
purge= give it away.
3. moving day / move in day
eg, Moving day is Thursday, so I'm taking off work.
4. deep clean 深层清洁 go along with purging.
you wanna do a deep clean in the new place before you move in. have a profession clean and painted 刷墙just because someone else has live there you just want to feel fresh.
5. packing supplies /moving boxes
eg, Do you have any extra packing supplies like bubble wraps气泡卷or moving boxes? I'm getting ready to move next week.
ask someone to help you move.
