At 34, I started from scratch to become a professional golfer.

This is not just about learning a sport—it’s about redesigning my life system across four key dimensions:

Time management, Energy management, Physical training, and Emotional regulation.

This podcast is my open journal. I’m inviting you to walk this path with me, step by step.

Hello, this is Xiaxia Come from China.

Welcome to episode three of. xiaxia Awakens.

Probably no one really tells you this, but starting from zero at 34 to become a professional golfer means rebuilding your entire life system from the ground up.

This isn’t just about learning a sport.

It’s about reinventing the way I manage my time, protect my energy, train my body, and regulate my emotions—every single day.

I made this decision at 34 because I choose to believe that it’s not too late to start over—not just to dream, but to do.

And I’ve prepared deeply across four core dimensions:

1. Time Management

Once, I tracked every hour of my day for an entire year—just like keeping a financial ledger.

Every night, I reviewed how I actually spent my time. Over time, this process helped me understand my behavioral patterns more deeply.

Then I designed a daily rhythm tailored to my needs and lifestyle—a structure that ensures my efficiency without draining me.

For example, the most important times of my day are the 30 minutes before bed and the 30 minutes after waking up.

I call this “pre-loading the system” so I stay aligned with my full-day training routine.

I always prepare my food, clothes, and to-do list the night before.

That way, my morning—what I call my golden time—is reserved for important, not difficult tasks.

Here’s how my morning looks:

  1. I don’t check messages or scroll social media—it’s simply not important.
  2. I drink water and meditate for at least 10 minutes—to give my body and brain a green light.
  3. I dress with intention—to tell myself who I am.
  4. I look into the mirror seriously and acknowledge the new version of myself that shows up each day.
  5. I handwrite one sentence to myself—because I truly believe in the law of attraction.
  6. And I don’t wear makeup—it’s a part of my practice of self-acceptance, and it removes unnecessary distractions.

2. Energy Management

I don’t smoke. I’ve never smoked.

I’m not an alcoholic.

I go to bed very early—around 10pm or even earlier. I wake up super early—around 5am.

I protect my brain like it’s the most valuable asset I have.

I treat my attention as currency and try to make my focus visible and tangible.

3. Physical Foundation

Physically, I’ve built my base over the years:

  • Dance training
  • 3 years of traditional strength training
  • 1 year of CrossFit

To be honest, I’m not naturally athletic.

I only learned how to swim this year, and I’m not a good runner.

But I’ve practiced repetition, and I’ve trained in monotony—the kind of focused, solitary effort that shapes resilience.

Whether it was ballet or barre work, I’ve accumulated thousands of hours of single-task refinement.

That’s the foundation of my self-knowledge.

And that’s why, even at 34, I feel qualified to pursue this new dream.

I’m deeply grateful to my body and the energy it gives me every day.

4. Emotional Regulation

This is a big one.

For me, emotional regulation means becoming aware of my emotions—and accepting them without resistance or judgment.

It’s not automatic. It takes practice.

One way I do it is through daily journaling—emotional housekeeping.

I take the chaos in my mind and turn it into words, so it no longer controls me.

Believe me, this works.

Another practice I use is the ice bath.

Yes, I literally put my whole head under.

It’s a way of training my nervous system to remember what calm feels like.

From time design, energy protection, attention focus, emotional clarity, to physical resilience—

it’s one interconnected system.

And I truly believe:

If you want to rise in anything, at any age, at any stage—

you cannot ignore these four dimensions.

This podcast is my open journal.

You’re invited to witness the real process of how I’m becoming a professional golfer—from zero.

Step by step, let’s walk this path together.

Thank you for listening.

See you next time, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
