How to share what you've been through in English:
a pity party: all of a sudden everyone is coming to your side and feel bad for you;
When you expose sth don't wanna turn into pity party;
when you share vulnerability you don't have to use intonation that you might cry
1.tone of voice indicates that you are kinda come to a bit of resolution
2.not dwelling on it
Ex: my childhood wasn't easy i had a tough relationship with my family especially with my sister, that was years ago though (puts in a perspective)
3.that was years ago (that was on another life)
Ex: i was really insecure when i was a child but that was an another life
4.so much has changed
Ex:i had three break ups in one year but so much has changed now I'm with poll
5.keep the floor open to the other comer
Ex: i know it was hard for you when x
6.but don't worry about me ( reassuring phrases)
I'm working through it / work on it

Role play:
A: are you close to your family?
B:yeah things have been complicated my childhood was tough and my family relationships never really resolved, but so much has changed for me as an adults i realized what relationships are worth fighting for
A:wow Michelle
B:yeah! was it tough for you when you moved away from your home?
A: i had a hard time at first but I moved passed it
