1. 使…筋疲力尽

· 含义:指因体力或脑力上的巨大付出而感到极度疲劳。
· 例句:
· A three-hour exam wore me out.
· She was worn out after the long hike.
· 时态:
· 过去式:wore out
· 过去分词:worn out (常与 be/get/feel 连用,表状态)

2. 使…情感/精神耗尽

· 含义:指因持续的压力、冲突或情感消耗而感到心力交瘁。
· 例句:
· Dealing with constant complaints is wearing me out.
· She felt emotionally worn out after the breakup.

3. 用坏,穿破

· 含义:指物品因长期使用而破损、失效。
· 例句:
· I wore out my favorite shoes.
· The battery is worn out and needs to be replaced.

4. (因滥用而)失效,过时

· 含义:指话语、借口、想法等因过度使用而失去效力或新鲜感。
· 例句:
· That excuse is worn out; try a new one.

2. emotionally tired or mentally tired
Ex:dealing with that drama really wore me out
3.to use sth when it becomes unuseable
Ex: i wore clothes until It's worn out
Ex:my kids wore out clothes so fast
4.lose impact through reputation (words, phrases, ideas become less effective due to overuse)
Ex:that's my name don't wore it out
Ex:you need to wore out that excuse if you keep using it
Ex:this dead jokes are really worn out

Role play:
A:hey lindsay! You looked drained, what happened?
B:i took that certification exam this morning three hours straight with no breaks it's completely wore me out
A:i remembered taking that is brutal, at least it's behind you
B:yeah! I called my cousin right after, she's going through a break up and pretty emotionally worn out
A:oh! Emotional support! right after that test, i bet you could use a nap
B: to top of that my laptop stop working today, i didn't expect to wore out this quickly
A: when it rains it pours, do you have a replacement you can use?
B: yeah! i borrowed on from IT
A:this meeting is going to tough though i don't know how I'll handle it this everyone is using worn out cooperate buzzwords
B:this buzzwords gets worn out a lot faster than laptops
