15.I feel guilty,but my son saves me

I had the day off this morning, so I was home. My wife usually takes our son to school on Mondays, but as they were about to leave, he asked, "Why aren't you taking me, Daddy?" I felt awkward and was at a loss for words. I went over to him and kissed his cheek. Just then, my son saved the moment by saying, "You're picking me up this afternoon, right?" I immediately said, "Yes, of course." After that, I felt a little guilty. My son had actually wanted me to take him to school, but honestly, I hadn't even realized it. So this afternoon, I went to the school with my wife. He saw me at the gate and gave me a big smile. At that moment, I felt so relieved. I was just so happy to be there with him.
