At the Supermarket
在超市
On Sunday afternoon, I go to the supermarket with my mother. It is a very large building. We take a taxi to get there. The supermarket is clean and bright, with many people inside. Mother takes a shopping list from her bag. “We need many things today,” she says.
星期天下午，我和妈妈一起去超市。那是一座非常大的建筑。我们坐出租车去那里。超市干净明亮，里面有很多人。妈妈从包里拿出一张购物清单。“今天我们有很多东西要买，”她说。
First, we go to the fruit and vegetable section. The colours here are beautiful. We see red apples, yellow lemons, and green melons. I help my mother pick some oranges and tomatoes. We also get a big brown potato and a long orange carrot.
首先，我们去了水果和蔬菜区。这里的颜色非常漂亮。我们看到红色的苹果、黄色的柠檬和绿色的甜瓜。我帮妈妈挑选了一些橙子和西红柿。我们还买了一个大大的棕色土豆和一根长长的橙色胡萝卜。
Next, we go to another section. Here we find meat and fish. There is red steak, pink ham, and fresh fish. My mother chooses some meat for our dinner. Then we go to the dairy products. We take a bottle of milk, some yellow cheese, and a small cup of yoghurt. All these go into our shopping cart.
接着，我们去了另一个区域。这里摆放着肉类和鱼类。有红色的牛排、粉红色的火腿和新鲜的鱼。妈妈为我们的晚餐挑选了一些肉。然后我们去了乳制品区。我们拿了一瓶牛奶、一些黄色的奶酪和一小杯酸奶。所有这些东西都放进了我们的购物车。
I see many other things. There are tall boxes of cereal, bags of flour and sugar, and tins of food. In the frozen section, we buy ice-cream. I also see fish fingers and prawns. My mother lets me choose one snack. I pick a packet of chocolate biscuits.
我还看到了许多其他东西。有高高的麦片盒、面粉和糖的袋子，还有罐头食品。在冷冻食品区，我们买了冰淇淋。我还看到了鱼条和虾。妈妈让我选一种零食。我挑了一包巧克力饼干。
We see different people working here. A shop assistant helps us find the rice. A man puts new bread on the shelf. Everyone is very busy.

At the end, we go to the checkout. The shop assistant scans all our things. Mother pays with money from her purse. We put everything into big bags. It is a lot of food!
最后，我们来到收银台。店员把我们所有的东西都扫码结账。妈妈从钱包里拿出钱付款。我们把所有东西装进大购物袋里。真是好多食物啊！
We take a bus home. I help my mother carry one bag. It is a little heavy. At home, we put all the food in the fridge and the cupboard. I feel good because I helped. Going to the supermarket is not just shopping; it is a way to learn about different foods, colours, and people’s jobs. It is interesting to see everything in one big place.
我们坐公交车回家。我帮妈妈提一个袋子，有点重。到家后，我们把所有食物放进冰箱和橱柜里。因为帮了忙，我感到很开心。去超市不仅仅是购物；它还是了解各种食物、颜色以及人们工作的一种方式。在一个大地方看到所有这些东西，真有趣。
