People and Places in Our Town
我们小镇的人和地方
Today, my father and I take a bus to visit the town.
今天，我和爸爸坐公交车去镇上。
I like to look out of the window and see all the different people and places.
我喜欢望向窗外，看各种各样的人和地方。
First, we pass a big park. I see children playing.
首先，我们经过一个大公园。我看到孩子们在玩耍。
Some are on the swings and slides. Others are running.
有的在荡秋千、滑滑梯，有的在奔跑。
A man is walking his dog. The grass is very green.
一位男士在遛狗。草地非常绿。
The bus stops near a road. We see a tall policeman standing there.
公交车在一条马路附近停下。我们看到一位高大的警察站在那里。
He helps people cross the street safely at the zebra crossing.
他在斑马线上帮助人们安全过马路。
He wears a uniform and looks very strong.
他穿着制服，看起来非常强壮。
Next to him are traffic lights: red, yellow, and green.
他旁边是红绿灯：红色、黄色和绿色。
We get off the bus and walk. We see many buildings.
我们下车步行。看到了许多建筑物。
There is a fire station. A red fire-engine is inside.
有一座消防站。里面停着一辆红色的消防车。
A fireman is cleaning it. He is brave and his job is important.
一位消防员正在擦拭它。他很勇敢，工作也很重要。
Not far away, there is a post office.
不远处有一家邮局。
A postman is putting letters into a big post box.
一位邮递员正把信件放进一个大邮筒里。
He will take them to every family.
他会把这些信送到每家每户。
Then we see a hospital. It is a quiet building.
接着我们看到一家医院。那是一栋安静的建筑。
Through a window, I see a nurse in a white dress.
透过窗户，我看到一位穿白裙的护士。
She is kind and helps sick people. A doctor is talking to a family.
她很善良，照顾病人。一位医生正在和一个家庭交谈。
We walk past a school. Children are in the playground.
我们走过一所学校。孩子们在操场上。
They are playing football and jumping rope. Their teacher is with them.
他们在踢足球、跳绳。老师和他们在一起。
After school, some students go to the library to read books or to a shop to buy snacks.
放学后，一些学生去图书馆看书，或去商店买零食。
My father and I go to a small restaurant for lunch.
我和爸爸去一家小餐馆吃午饭。
A friendly waiter brings us food. We eat noodles and drink tea.
一位友善的服务员给我们端来食物。我们吃了面条，喝了茶。
After lunch, we go home.
午饭后，我们就回家了。
From the bus window, I see more: a farmer on a train, a shop assistant in a market, a driver in a van.
从公交车窗往外看，我还看到更多：火车上的农民、市场里的店员、货车里的司机。
Every person has a job. Every place has a purpose.
每个人都有自己的工作，每个地方都有它的用途。
Our town is busy and full of life.
我们的小镇忙碌而充满生机。
It is good to see how everyone works and helps each other.
看到大家努力工作、互相帮助，真好。
I feel happy to live here.
我为自己住在这里感到开心。
