“A BEAT is an exchange of behavior in action/reaction. Beat by Beat these changing behaviors shape the turning of a scene.”
“A SEQUENCE is a series of scenes—generally two to five—that culminates with greater impact than any previous scene.”

Nina was sitting in the back seat of her car. If you want to live in a car, you have to keep things simple. She doesn't have anything for big parties, but she doesn't care, because she doesn't have anyone she wants to see. For most of the time, she eats very cheap sandwiches.
As she was eating, she got a phone call from a burger joint called Much Burgers. After she had left Mrs. Winchester's home, she handed her resume to the shop, and they granted her an interview a few days before. Although she was not confident about the interview, she had read online that Much Burgers didn't have very strict hiring practices. Even if she had a record, she still had a chance.
But the woman on the other line told her they had already filled the position with someone else, and they hoped Milly would get a better job in the future. Milly was heartbroken and burst into tears in the back seat of her Nissan.
Suddenly, she was startled out of her pity party by another phone call, which was from Mrs. Winchester. Mrs. Winchester was delighted to offer her a job. Nina was overjoyed, but she pretended to stay calm and said she would go to her house as soon as possible.
The chapter ended with her inner thought: she wondered if Mrs. Winchester would treat her the same way if she knew she had spent the last ten years in prison. It is a really interesting ending.
