Juju & Amber: Healing Strength 1

I felt deeply touched by my friend Amber’s story, especially as someone who also grew up being raised by grandparents. There was something very familiar in the emotions she described — the quiet loneliness, the longing to be seen, and the complicated love that exists within many traditional families.

What moved me even more was her resilience and honesty. Despite growing up with the absence of parental attention in certain ways, she has remained incredibly warm, thoughtful, and genuine. Listening to her speak, I kept feeling how much strength can exist inside someone who has gone through difficult experiences without losing their softness.
