He climbed onto a big rock and waited
He waited for the giraffe to walk past
The giraffe kept her head down and walked right by
She did not see the crocodile on the rock at all

He climbed onto a bridge and jumped up and down
He jumped high, again and again
The giraffe was walking under the bridge with her friends, chatting
She did not look up at all
The crocodile climbed up a tree
He picked the softest, greenest leaves
He shaped them into a heart and put them on a branch
He waited for the giraffe to walk by
But the giraffe had a cold
Her neck was all tangled up in a knot
She did not look up at all
The crocodile went back home
He sat by the window and made a love call
The call floated out the window and down the street
The giraffe walked past the crocodile's house, eating leaves
She was eating leaves and walking slowly
She did not hear the call at all
The crocodile took out a vine
He tied the vine into a loop
He put the loop around the giraffe's neck
He wanted her to look down and see him
The giraffe got a big scare and shook her head hard
The crocodile flew up into the sky, fell back down, and landed in the hospital
The crocodile came out of the hospital
He hung his head and dragged his tail down the street
He did not want to chase the giraffe anymore
Suddenly, the giraffe came rushing around the corner
Bam They crashed into each other and fell to the ground
The crocodile looked up, and the giraffe looked down at him
Little stars popped up above both their heads
And just like that, they were together
