Intransitive verb vs transitive verbs
📝"discuss" is not followed by "about", but "forget can be". It all comes down to whether it is a transitive verb, intransitive verb or can be both."Forget" can be both transitive or intransitive.
📝Transivtive verbs :discuss
Pattern: verbs+ direct objectives
Ex: Let's discuss the movie.
Ex: We're discussing the grammar rule.
📝Intransitive verbs: talk
Pattern: They can't be followed by direct objectives.
Ex: She talked.
Ex: They talked all night.
🌟We can use "about" with both"transitive verbs" or "intransitive verbs"
1️⃣about for "amount"(approximately)
Ex: She spent 50 dollars.
Ex: He invited about 10 people to dinner.
2️⃣about(introduce a topic)
Ex: What do you think about the song?
Ex: Let's talk about it.
