In the end, it is your perception of football that determines which side you take. If you believe it is a game of well-calculated planning, England is the answer: a bunch of lion-hearted players whose techniques (and even intuition) are moulded by the most demanding league on earth, now led by a seasoned German coach. But if you are looking for heroism, it has always been Lionel Messi and his Argentinian footballers. Time and again they have been bogged down on the brink of the abyss, with fatigue, the unexpected, and even discrimination holding them back. Yet their eagerness for victory has proven that all of the above were merely transient. Argentina brings the most twists to this game and makes it a true spectacle.
