0Cheng Lü
Also known as Yingzhong, Cheng Lü(1901-1927), whose courtesy name is Xinliu, was born in Ningxiang, Hunan Province. He graduated from Changjun High School in Hunan Province in 1922, and then was enrolled at Yali University in Changsha. In 1925, Cheng Lü was admitted to the Department of Agricultural Science and Agronomy at Southeast University in Nanjing. During his school years, he joined the Kuomintang and participated in mass progressive organizations such as the Zhixing Society and the Xiequn Society. In 1926, he was elected as the executive member of the Second Division of the First District Party Department of Kuomintang in Nanjing. In February 1927, he was elected as an alternate executive member of the Party Department in the First District of Nanjing and a member of the Standing Committee of the Second District. In March, he was arrested and murdered by the regime of warlord Sun Chuanfang.

My Dear Shuyu:
Although we have been married for five years, we have only lived together for a few months. What a pain to say goodbye to you forever! After I am gone, please take care of my father and your mother. I believe we will reunite in heaven and get married once again. From now on, you can rely on our elder sister Yun who will support you just as I would.
