昨天在Jazz Alley 看了美国爵士吉他大师 Pat Metheny的独奏现场。Pat Metheny对爵士音乐世界的影响是广泛而深远的。他在音乐上的探索，对后辈音乐家的影响，在我看来是继Miles Davis 之后的第二人。

面对舞台上的Pat Metheny，你会感受到他就是音乐，音乐就是他。他的人生就是在“玩”音乐，纯粹，简单。

除了传统吉他的演奏，Pat Metheny还表演了电子吉他，Baritone guitar， 42 string guitar 等独门神器。演出的最后，他甚至通过程序设计控制乐器自动发声，复刻了一整套乐队编制的演出阵容，一个人完成了一个band的工作。这个音乐老顽童真是脑洞大开，每天都在琢磨怎么让音乐“更好玩”。
