I really like this quote: "The self is actually a verb. We get lost in the pursuit of finding ourselves, only to rediscover ourselves in each subsequent loss."

Yesterday, I came across an article title: "Don't shut yourself in, be yourself." Although I didn't read the content, that sentence captured the essence of what I wanted to express: the self is formed through interactions with the outside world, rather than sitting alone and pondering what we like or dislike.

The reason why I resonate with this so deeply is that I've gone through that stage myself. I've also spent time pondering and reflecting on what my purpose is, what I'm good at, and why I can't dance my way to work. I wanted to find a job that I truly love.

Eventually, after going through the painful process of repeatedly asking myself these questions and seeking advice from many successful individuals, I finally understood.

If you don't know what you love, then the best thing you can do is to excel at what you currently have at hand and treat it as if it's the only thing in the world. Start by loving what you do in the present moment, and as you immerse yourself in the process, your true self will emerge.
