0南格禄，字德朗，法国耶稣会士。1803年，出生于法国萨伏依的Bassens。清道光二十二年（1842年）七月来到上海，是重返江南的第一批3位耶稣会士之一，曾为江南耶稣会会长。南格禄于1850年创办徐汇中学，初名圣依纳爵公学，主要吸收中国贫家子弟入学。民国以后，按中国新学制分为中学和小学，1930年增设高中部。1932年改名徐汇公学，1953年徐汇公学更名为徐汇中学，沿办至今，现位于虹桥路68号。崇思楼是在1918年建造完成的校舍；在历经百年风雨沧桑，几经修缮之后，这座百年建筑依然风貌犹存；近期，这所徐汇公学唯一留存至今的建筑对外开放。
Nang Gelu, whose courtesy name was Delang, was a French Jesuit. He was born in 1803 in Bassens, Savoy, France. In the twenty-second year of the Daoguang Emperor's reign , that is, 1842, Nang Gelu arrived in Shanghai as one of the first three Jesuits to return to Jiangnan. He served as the head of the Jiangnan Jesuits. In 1850, Nang Gelu founded Xuhui High School, originally named Collège Saint Ignace, primarily enrolling children from poor Chinese families. After the establishment of the Republic of China, it was divided into middle and primary schools according to the new Chinese education system. In 1930, a high school division was added. In 1932, it was renamed Xuhui Public School, and in 1953, it was renamed Xuhui High School, continuing to operate to this day, now located at 68 Hongqiao Road. Chongsi Building, a school building completed in 1918, has withstood a century of trials and renovations, yet still retains its original appearance. Recently, this only surviving building from the former Xuhui Public School has been open to the public.
