今年柏林电影节主竞赛单元影片的首场放映，属于中国电影《生息之地》。由于放映时间太早，街道上厚厚的积雪还没有融化，电影宫检票的人手不足，全世界的记者在寒风中排起长队。即便这样，大家的观影热情还是没有丝毫减弱。媒体场结束后掌声响起，响彻多时。
《生息之地》由霍猛执导，他的前作《过昭关》作为与贾樟柯导演在柏林电影节的对谈活动的展映片，也曾在这里面见观众，但这次的意义显然不同。我曾在今年柏林的前瞻节目中说到，“技术进步”是我期待看到霍猛的变化，但未曾想到，“技术”成了《生息之地》最为重要的关键词之一。无论是动态长镜头的韵律、调度能力，还是静态画面的分割构造，都让人沉迷。
这是一部有关家庭史诗的电影，然而所有故事却只发生在一年之内，是否感觉到矛盾？霍猛又是怎样饱蘸深情地讲述故土与历史？希望本期节目能让大家对此多一分了解。

The first screening of a film in Competition of this year's Berlin Film Festival belonged to the Chinese film “Living the Land ”. Because the screening time was too early, the thick snow on the streets had not melted yet, and the ticket checkers at the Palace were understaffed, journalists from all over the world stood in a long line in the cold wind. Even so, everyone's enthusiasm for the movie didn't wane in the slightest. Applause rang out for a long time after the press screening.
Living the Land, directed by Huo Mang, whose previous film, Crossing The Border-Zhaoguan, was screened here as part of a talkback event with director Jia Zhangke at the Berlinale, also met the audience, but this time the significance was clearly different. I said in the Berlin preview program that I was looking forward to seeing Huo Mang's changes, but I didn't expect “technique” to be one of the most important keywords in Living the Land. Whether it's the rhythm and scheduling ability of the dynamic long shots or the split construction of the static images, it's mesmerizing.
This is a movie about a family epic, yet all the stories take place in only one year, does it feel contradictory? How does Huo Mang talk about his homeland and history with deep emotion? I hope this episode will give you a little more insight into this.
