It looks like Shen Jiarun, the daughter of Chinese actor Xiao Shenyang, has not let the haters get to her.
The 19-year-old has had to deal with mean comments about her looks for most of her life. Back in 2014, Jiarun and her dad made a guest appearance on reality show, The Firsts In Life.
However, what was meant to be a wholesome event for the family-of-three soon turned into a nightmare. Trolls criticized Jiarun’s appearance, pointing out her supposed flaws. For some reason, they took issue with her skin tone, eyelids, face shape and teeth. Yup, these netizens somehow saw it fit to insult a six-year-old child, even calling her the “ugliest celeb kid”.
Well, here we are a couple of years later and it looks like the joke's on her bashers after all. Because the kid they used to call ugly is now making her debut as a solo Kpop artist.
