豆腐起源于中国，已有一千多年的历史。
Tofu, originated in China, has a history of over a thousand years.
它由大豆制成，需经过浸泡、研磨、过滤、煮沸、凝固和成型等工序。
It is made from soybeans, which go through a process of soaking, grinding, filtering, boiling, coagulating, and shaping.
豆腐的用途极为广泛，可用于制作麻婆豆腐、香煎豆腐、豆腐汤等多种菜肴。
Tofu is incredibly versatile and can be used to make various dishes such as mapo tofu, pan-fried tofu, and tofu soup.
在中国传统文化中，豆腐象征着纯洁与质朴。
In traditional Chinese culture, tofu symbolizes purity and simplicity.

It is often used as a metaphor for a person's noble character.

- 描述机械摩擦产生的噪音，常与 away/on 搭配。The gears ground against each other.（齿轮相互摩擦发出声响。）*"grind" 的过去式和过去分词形式均为 ground，属于不规则变化。

- 作 “过滤；滤除” 解（及物 / 不及物）
- Filter the soup to remove any lumps.（过滤汤以去除结块。）
- The river water filters through sand into the well.（河水透过沙子渗入井中。）
- 作 “筛选；甄选” 解（及物）
- 指按标准挑选信息、人员或数据（常与 out/through 搭配）。

- 作 “缓慢通过；渗入” 解（不及物）
- 描述光、声音等透过障碍物，或人群逐渐移动。

（液体）凝固
- Blood begins to coagulate when exposed to air.（血液暴露在空气中会开始凝固。）
- 常见主语：blood（血液）、milk（牛奶）、protein（蛋白质）、latex（乳胶）等。
名词形式
coagulation（n.）：凝固；凝结
- The coagulation of tofu requires a specific agent.（制作豆腐需要特定的凝固剂。）

- 形容人：多才多艺的；能力多样的

- 表示 “必不可少的；必需的”
- 强调某物 / 人 / 行为对某目标或情况至关重要，不可缺少。
例：Water is essential for human survival.（水是人类生存必不可少的。） - 常用搭配：
essential for/to sth.（对…… 是必需的）
essential to do sth.（做某事是必要的）
absolutely/perfectly essential（绝对必要）
- 表示 “本质的；基本的”
- 描述事物的根本属性或核心特征。

- 固定句型与用法
- It is essential (that)...：从句中需用虚拟语气（should + 动词原形，should 可省略）。
