0The Three Little Pigs 三只小猪
Once upon a time there was an old mother pig who had threelittle pigs and not enough food to feed them.
从前，有一只母猪妈妈，她养了三只小猪，却没有足够的食物喂养它们。
So when they were old enough, she sent them out into theworld to seek their fortunes.
所以小猪渐渐长大后,老母猪决定让他们独自去寻找属于自己的人生.
The first little pig was very lazy.
第一只小猪非常懒惰。
He didn't want to work at all and he built his house out ofstraw.
他根本不想工作，就用稻草盖房子。
The second little pig worked a little bit harder but he wassomewhat lazy too and he built his house out of sticks.
第二只小猪稍微努力了一点，但它也有些懒惰，它用树枝盖自己的房子。
Then, they sang and danced and played together the rest ofthe day.
然后，他们一起唱歌跳舞，玩了一整天。
The third little pig worked hard all day and built his housewith bricks. It was a sturdy house complete with a fine fireplace and chimney.
第三只小猪辛勤工作了一整天，用砖头盖起了自己的房子。这是一座坚固的房子，还有一个精致的壁炉和烟囱。
It looked like it could withstand the strongest winds.
它看起来可以抵御最强劲的风。
The next day, a wolf happened to pass by the lane where thethree little pigs lived; and he saw the straw house, and he smelled the piginside.
第二天，一只狼碰巧路过三只小猪住的巷子，它看到了草房子，闻到了里面有小猪的味道。
He thought the pig would make a mighty fine meal and hismouth began to water.
他觉得这头猪一定会是一顿美味佳肴，口水都快流出来了。
So he knocked on the door and said:

Little pig! Little pig!
小猪 小猪
Let me in! Let me in!
让我进去 让我进去
But the little pig saw the wolf's big paws through thekeyhole, so he answered back:
但小猪从钥匙孔里看到了狼的大爪子，于是他回了一句：
No! No! No!
不，不，不
Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!
以我下巴上的毛起誓,我不会放你进来的."
Then the wolf showed his teeth and said:
然后，狼露出牙齿说
Then I'll huff
那我就哼一声
and I'll puff
那我就噗嗤一声
and I'll blow your house down.
我就把你的房子吹倒
So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down!
于是，他呼哧呼哧地把房子吹倒了！
The wolf opened his jaws very wide and bit down as hard ashe could, but the first little pig escaped and ran away to hide with the secondlittle pig.
狼张开大嘴，拼命地咬，第一只小猪逃了出来，跑到第二只小猪身边躲了起来。
The wolf continued down the lane and he passed by the secondhouse made of sticks; and he saw the house, and he smelled the pigs inside, andhis mouth began to water as he thought about the fine dinner they would make.
狼继续沿着小路往前走，路过了第二座用木棍搭成的房子；它看到了房子，闻到了里面猪的味道，想到它们会做成一顿丰盛的晚餐，它的口水都要流出来了。
So he knocked on the door and said:
于是他敲了敲门说道：
Little pig! Little pig!
小猪 小猪
Let me in! Let me in!
让我进去 让我进去
But the little pigs saw the wolf's pointy ears through thekeyhole, so they answered back:
但是，小猪们从钥匙孔里看到了狼的尖耳朵，于是他们回答道：
No! No! No!
不，不，不
Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!
以我下巴上的毛起誓,我不会放你进来的."
Then the wolf showed his teeth and said:
然后，狼露出牙齿说道：
Then I'll huff
那我就哼一声
and I'll puff
那我就噗嗤一声
and I'll blow your house down.
我就把你的房子吹倒
So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down!
于是，他呼哧呼哧地把房子吹倒了！
The wolf was greedy and he tried to catch both pigs at once,but he was too greedy and got neither!
狼很贪心，它想同时抓住两只小猪，但它太贪心了，两只小猪都没抓住！
His big jaws clamped down on nothing but air and the twolittle pigs scrambled away as fast as their little hooves would carry them.
它的大钳子只夹住了空气，两只小猪用小蹄子飞快地跑开了。
The wolf chased them down the lane and he almost caughtthem.
狼沿着小路追赶他们，他差点就抓住了他们。
But they made it to the brick house and slammed the doorclosed before the wolf could catch them.
但他们还是赶到了砖房，并在狼抓住他们之前关上了门。
The three little pigs they were very frightened, they knewthe wolf wanted to eat them.
三只小猪非常害怕，它们知道狼想吃掉它们。
And that was very, very true.
这是非常非常真实的。
The wolf hadn't eaten all day and he had worked up a largeappetite chasing the pigs around and now he could smell all three of theminside and he knew that the three little pigs would make a lovely feast.
狼已经一天没吃东西了，它追着小猪跑得胃口大开，现在它能闻到三只小猪在里面的味道，它知道三只小猪会让它大快朵颐。
So the wolf knocked on the door and said:

But the little pigs saw the wolf's narrow eyes through thekeyhole, so they answered back:
但是，小猪们从钥匙孔里看到了狼眯缝着的眼睛，于是它们回答：
No! No! No!

Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!
以我下巴上的毛起誓,我不会放你进来的."
Then the wolf showed his teeth and said:
然后，狼露出牙齿说道：

Well! he huffed and he puffed.
嗯！他呼哧呼哧地喘着粗气。
He puffed and he huffed. And he huffed, huffed, and hepuffed, puffed; but he could not blow the house down.
他呼哧呼哧地喘着粗气。他呼哧呼哧，呼哧呼哧，但就是没能把房子吹塌。
At last, he was so out of breath that he couldn't huff andhe couldn't puff anymore.
最后，他气喘吁吁，呼也呼不上来，喘也喘不上来。
So he stopped to rest and thought a bit.
于是，他停下来休息，思考了一会儿。
But this was too much.
但这也太夸张了。
The wolf danced about with rage and swore he would come downthe chimney and eat up the little pig for his supper.
狼气得手舞足蹈，发誓要从烟囱里冲下来，把小猪吃掉当晚餐。
