Ganna Kimlach 出⽣于乌克兰⻢⾥乌波尔，现居中国上海并从事艺术创作。 对我⽽⾔，摄影是呈现⾃然、传统、⽂化、历史与⼈际关系之间对话的⽅式。相机如同乐 器，承载着我对意义、信仰与联结的追寻。通过这样的探索，我得以触碰⼈类共通的灵魂语 ⾔。 每个创作项⽬都是⼀场私⼈旅程——⼀场情感的⻢拉松，也是对故乡、家国与根源的沉思。 在艺术实践中，我挖掘塑造⾁体性与归属感的视觉神话的个⼈经历与记忆，通过这个过程， 揭示⾃我概念的模糊边界——那些亟需在变幻世界的价值体系中重新思考与定义的疆界。

“I'm a Ukrainian girl who has lived here for already seven and a half years. Seems like it's gonna be for a few years some more because there's no way to escape. I used to work as a model since I turned 18 years old, and finalize my nowadays state of life in Shanghai because I feel like here I can work and create and meet a lot of interesting people. I feel here safe and beautiful and very inspiring. "
"我是一个乌克兰女孩，已经在这里生活了七年半。看来还要再待几年，因为根本无处可逃。18岁起我就开始做模特，最终选择在上海定居，因为在这里我既能工作创作，又能结识许多有趣的人。这里让我感到安全、美丽且充满灵感。"

"Because Ganna feels to me, where we relate both to the ethnic culture to the Slavic culture, because she works mostly with those contexts from Ukraine, which is really related to me as well. And I'm find it interesting to bring this context up here in China in Shanghai, specifically on the second floor because this floor has a lot of wood inside, which is really close to our houses in the countryside, in Belarus, Ukraine, Slavic countries. It's giving me a vibe that we can escape the city life."
“因为在我看来，加娜的作品既与民族文化相关，也与斯拉夫文化相连，她主要从乌克兰的语境中汲取灵感，这与我的经历有着深刻的共鸣。而我认为将这种语境带到中国上海尤为有趣——特别是展厅的二楼空间，因其大量运用木材装饰，这与白俄罗斯、乌克兰等斯拉夫国家乡村住宅极为相似。这种氛围让我感受到逃离都市生活的可能。"

So basically we're gonna make a show off of the feeling of Ganna's feelings around the feminine and the woman around the culture together."

"It's just the way how I feel it. Because I've worked in fashion for too long so I think it definitely has some impact on my works. But at the same time, I'm so tired of it so I want to go more artsy in the end. I think I stuck somewhere in the middle, between fashion and art."
"我根据我的感受出发。因为我在时尚界工作太久了，所以这个行业肯定对我的作品产生了影响。但与此同时，我又对它感到厌倦，最终想走得更艺术化一些。我觉得自己卡在中间某个位置，介于时尚与艺术之间。”

"I would say in front of the camera I am not myself. I am someone who they want me to be, who they want me to see. Any model in front of the camera is not their own character. Profession is not about their personalities, it's about how they look like. But behind the camera, this is who I am. This is the real me."
“我觉得在镜头前我并非真实的自己。我只是他们想要我成为的人，他们希望我展现的模样。任何模特在镜头前都并非展现本性。这个职业无关个性，只关乎外在形象。但镜头之外，这才是真正的我。这才是真实的我。”

"And actually in my head sometimes, first when I started doing shootings and photography, I had images in one perspective, like I have my mood board, I have a vibe which I want to achieve. In the end, I'm getting completely a different result which has made me a little bit upset and disappointed to myself but then I just accepted. I started to go with the flow. I don't put myself in some sort of frames anymore and just go with the spirit. As it goes, I'll let things happen."
“其实有时我脑海里会浮现某些画面——最初接触拍摄和摄影时，我总带着固定的视角，比如情绪板，追求特定的氛围感。但最终呈现的效果却截然不同，这曾让我对自己感到些许沮丧和失望，后来我学会了接纳。我开始随遇而安，不再给自己设限，只随心而动。顺其自然，让一切水到渠成。”

"I think the main point for the curator to make people feel the way Ganna tried to feel it herself or show it herself, because she does have some feelings when she's trying to create or recreate something, and she wants to bring people some contexts, and I'm the one who's trying to build this context. So basically, I'm just the one who'd taken the thread under three of us-the artists, the visitors and me behind. The bridge behind."
“我认为策展人的核心在于让观众感受到加娜试图感受或展现的情绪——因为她在创作或重构作品时确实怀有某些情感，并希望为观众提供某种语境。而我正是构建这个语境的人。简而言之，我只是在艺术家、观众与我这三者之间牵起了一条纽带，那座隐形的桥梁。"

"Motherhood-a new chapter in life. I'm a person who is really hard to get used to some changes in my life. But at the same time, I'm very excited because finally, I'm getting some fresh food for my brain. So it feels such excitement, to move forward and finally have this fresh breeze, to make something more and something different."
“母亲身份是我人生的新篇章。我向来难以适应生活中的某些变化。但与此同时，我又无比兴奋，因为终于能为大脑注入新鲜养分。这种向前迈进的激动感油然而生，终于迎来了这股清新之风，让我得以创造更多、更不同的东西。”
