Exactly. And of course, what's the plan for our podcast?
Well, I hope we can update it frequently—frequently enough. I don't want to overpromise anything, like saying we'll update weekly. I know from time to time we probably couldn't make it, but I do think we can keep it up. Consistency is more important than intensity. So we just keep it up—hopefully at least updated once every two weeks, which I think is more doable. But when we have more time, definitely weekly. Yeah. At least biweekly.
Well, for me, I hope we can explore new ways and keep it alive and engaging.
Yeah, it's our baby. So, well, for today's episode, we actually didn't prepare anything about IELTS. It's basically just sharing what's been happening to both of us last year. Hopefully, that can make some explanation to some of you why we stopped updating our podcast and give you some new perspective of our plans in 2026. And last but not least, thanks for sticking with us.
Yes. Just kidding,,thank you so much to stay with us.
A big announcement, “the queens are back.” Just kidding. Just kidding. Ok. Catch you up in the next month. Keep gossiping in English.

Yeah, hopefully. But I'm already looking for some filmmakers I can meet in London. So I don't know if it's a real vacation or still kind of a work vacation.
No, please don't. Just enjoy your time.
Yeah, sounds good.
Yeah. And looking ahead, what feels more important to you in 2026? Learning a new skill, deepening a relationship, or cultivating a different mindset?
Well, I'm really trying to keep myself mentally and physically healthy. It sounds a bit corny, but at this point, I actually really, really mean it.
Yeah, I can tell.
Yup, YaoYao
What about you?
Well, as I said, only kids will make choices. As an adult, I'll pick all. Learning a new skill, deepening a relationship, and cultivating a different mindset. Wow! Like, probably first I will learn a new skill. And besides teaching, I'd love to develop something that balances my life and could even become a side hustle—maybe management or investing.
That sounds awesome, it's really good.
Yeah. And it's also good to have someone around.
Wow, big news might drop.
Yeah. So that's why I stopped updating this podcast. I'm so sorry.
Just kidding.
Same here. Oh, OK, another big news. Well, yep. Good news though. True.
OK, I'm a bit shy. And it's also good to cultivate a different mindset. I hope this year I can meet more people with different mindset—hopefully, I can open my eyes and have a brand new mindset.
That sounds like a pretty good plan. A lot of work, but it sounds great.
Yeah.
Yao

Yeah. And as you said, this year I also want to read more books—like wider reading, not just in one topic or in one direction. And I also want to improve my podcast skills into editing and planning podcast because this podcast is like my baby—I don't want to give it up.
Yeah, you have four cats and one baby.
Yeah, it's a big family, I know.
Yup.
And actually, I am thinking making these podcasts actually helps me grow. Because when I want to make my own episode, I have to read a lot, research a lot, and it forces me to learn. But last year, most of the time, I stayed in my comfort zone—just in one domain, education. So this year, in 2026, I hope I can have more directions and be more diverse.
Cool, that's really cool.
I hope next year, when we do another New Year's resolution episode, I proudly say, "Finally, I made it."
Hopefully we all made it.
Including the audience, yeah, listening to us.
Yeah, yeah. And by the way, Wing, I know you're going back to the UK too.
Yup, we'll overlap some time in the UK too, which is quite interesting. Yeah. We can't really meet each other in Guangzhou, but we can meet in the UK—why not?
Yeah, that's very funny.
But for me, this time in the UK is really about slowing down—more of a relaxing vacation. Meeting new people, catching up with old friends, and just enjoying the suburban vibe there. No big agenda, no pressure—just being present and taking it in. A little bit different from you.
Yeah, you're really on the vacation mode.
Yeah. I think I should take a break—from everything.
Yeah, that's good. Because you've been working nonstop, and last year you didn't travel anywhere, right?
No, no.
Yeah, you deserve a break.

Less pressure. More curiosity, basically.
Yeah. So if one day you meet Wing in the AI forum, you won't be surprised. And if one day you meet Wing in a club or in a pub, you won't be surprised too—because she wants to be a DJ.
I mean, I just want to try it out. I don't think I can be a DJ, but it seems like a fun thing to try. It is, it is.
Like Steve Jobs said, "Stay hungry, stay foolish."
Yeah. I find so so many things that I don't know, that I wanna learn.
That's true.
Yeah. What about you?
Well, just now I mentioned as I dive deeper into education, I realize I have so many unknown areas. So actually, I'm heading to the UK for a short course in 2026. Wow! I'm really excited. Some of you may know I studied there before. Going back as a student again feels surreal. So last time, I was kind of lost, unsure about my future, so I kind of escaped from reality so I took the graduate course there. However, this time I have much clearer goals. I am sure what I want to do. So it's a mix of nerves and excitement.
That's awesome. But this year, you're not going to learn a new language, do more exercises, or something like that?
Well, for the language part, let me see. Probably I will still stick to my Japanese, you know—because I have subscribed Duolingo for a one-year membership and it hasn't expired yet. Not yet, not yet. OK, so that's my motivation. OK.

Consistency beats intensity every single time.
Well said.
So if you want to tell yourself something—like I said, I want to pat myself and say "take it easy"—what about you? What would you want to tell yourself in 2025?
I'd tell myself balance work and life. Take better care of yourself. Mental and physical health really do go hand in hand.
So after reflecting our 2025, how about our 2026? What's on your list?
Well, I have a lot of things I want to do, like always.
OK, let's mark down.
So looking ahead to 2026, the priority is pretty clear. Mental and physical health come first—no negotiations. I want to keep myself active, protect my energy, and actually take care of the engine instead of running it into the ground. And from there, I hope our AI product can grow more stably, with more real sales. And if that foundation holds, I want to take part in more creative work too—more features, more series, maybe even more documentaries. I also want to keep our podcast updating more consistently—not perfectly, just stably show up, keep the rhythm, and let it grow over time. And I have a lot of things that I want to do. I want to read more—slower reading, wider reading—not just for productivity, but for perspective. And two more things. I’m sorry I have a lot of things I want to do in 2026.
Take your time.
Mostly just for fun, I want to dabble in DJing.
Seriously?
Yeah. Lately, I've been really obsessed with DJ Nova. It just sparked my curiosity. At first, I felt like, "Oh, DJs just play songs." But now I've learned that DJing is actually pretty creative. So sort of poked my curiosity, but no big ambitions here. I just want to try it out, understand how it works, get my hands on the gear, and learn something completely new. And last but not least, I want to keep sharpening my AI skills—staying curious, staying technical, and not falling behind.
