朱承宇:庄子在濮水钓鱼，楚威王派两位大夫来请他做宰相：“愿以境内累矣！”（想把国家托付给您）
庄子头也不回，问：
“我听说楚国有只神龟，死了三千年，楚王用锦缎包着、竹箱装着，供在庙堂之上。
这只龟，是宁愿死了留骨享尊贵，还是宁愿活着在泥里拖着尾巴爬？”
大夫答：“宁生而曳尾涂中。”（当然活着在泥里爬）
庄子说：“往矣！吾将曳尾于涂中。”（你们回去吧，我也要在泥里自在活着）
朱承宇:惠子在梁国做宰相，有人说庄子要来抢他的相位，惠子慌了，在国都搜了三天三夜。
庄子主动去见他，讲了个神鸟的故事：
“南方有鸟，名曰鹓鶵（yuān chú），你知道吗？
它从南海飞到北海，非梧桐不止，非竹实不食，非醴泉不饮。
有只猫头鹰（鸱）叼着一只腐鼠，见鹓鶵飞过，仰头‘吓’一声，怕它抢腐鼠。
现在你是想用你的梁国相位来‘吓’我吗？”
