M: Hi, Lily, how'sthe new apartment?
M：嗨，莉莉，新公寓怎么样？
W: It's okay.
W：还行。
M: What? How canit be just okay when last week you were thrilled about the place and keptposting photos of it online?

W: Well, last weekwhen I moved in, the apartment seemed cozy, just the right size for one person.But now it just seems tiny, shabby and solitary.
W：嗯，上周搬进来的时候，公寓看起来很温馨，大小刚好适合一个人住。但现在它就显得又小、又破、又孤单。
M: Ah, that's theproblem. You miss your roommates from university, don't you?

W: I'm going tosound like an idiot, because I used to complain to you all the time about howcrowded our dormitory room was, and about all the things they did to irritateme, like watching movies late at night without headphones, or talking loudlyearly in the morning. But now I miss them terribly.

M: Of course youdo. That's perfectly normal. When I got my first place I remember thinking Icouldn't wait to live by myself and get away from my juvenile roommates and alltheir annoying habits. But then I began missing them and feeling lonely andthinking that our dormitory was like paradise, even though there were six of usguys in one small room.

W: Actually, it'snot bad. In fact, it's pretty adorable, now that I have decorated it and it haseverything I need. I have a kitchen to cook in and a bathroom all to myself,and then another room with a bed at one end, and a sofa, a small table and chairsat the other end.
