• Medieval Phallus Tree (Massa Marittima Mural): Discovered in 2000, this mural (c. 1265–1335) features a tree with 25 phalluses and women interacting with it. It is believed to represent medieval fertility cults or folklore related to witchcraft, as documented in the Malleus Maleficarum. Similar depictions existed across Europe, representing fears of impotence and magic.
