刚才我们一起听了一个超有趣的播客，人类是唯一会故意推迟睡觉的动物，Humans are the only animals that delay sleep on purpose.
虽然内容不长，但是里面的口语结构，单词和常用搭配可是干货满满。下面我们一起看看：
首先，我们拆解几个最值得学的口语结构。
第一个结构：quick question for you
意思是"问你个简单的问题"，用来开启一个轻松的话题。
对话里说：Hey, quick question for you — do you ever stay up way later than you planned?
注意这里的 way 是口语中加强比较级的副词，相当于 much，"way later" = "much later"。
你也可以这样用：Quick question for you — do you like spicy food? 或者 Quick question — what's the best movie you've seen this year?
第二个结构：I'm guilty of that all the time
意思是"我老是那样"、"我完全中枪"。guilty 本意是"有罪的"，但口语里用来幽默地承认自己常做某件不太好的事。
对话里女声说：I'm guilty of that all the time. 我老是那样。
举两个例子：I'm guilty of checking my phone during meals. 我吃饭时老看手机。
或者：She's guilty of saying "I'll do it tomorrow" and then forgetting.
第三个结构：turns out
意思是"结果发现"、"原来"。用来引出新信息。
对话里说：Turns out, we're actually weirdos in the animal kingdom for it. 结果发现，我们在动物界其实是奇葩。
更多例子：Turns out, she was right all along. 原来她一直都是对的。
或者：I thought the test was hard, but turns out I got an A.
第四个结构：none of them + 动词
意思是"没有一个…"。
对话里说：None of them set alarms to wake up early or stay up late binging videos.
注意：none of + 复数名词/代词 时，动词通常用复数形式。口语和美式英语中更常见，但正式语境或英式英语中也可用单数。
举两个新例子：None of my classmates like the new teacher. 或者更口语的说法：None of us want to go.
第五个结构：that makes sense
意思是"有道理"、"说得通"。非常高频的回应语。
对话里女声说：That makes sense.
你可以这样用：Your explanation makes sense. 或者：It doesn't make sense to me. 我搞不懂。
第六个结构：preach
这个词在口语里单独用，或说 "Preach it!"，意思是"说得太对了"、"正解"，带有"你在宣扬真理"的夸张意味，就像传教士在布道一样，比较 casual，年轻人常用。
但注意，正式的意思是"布道，宣讲"，比如神父向会众宣讲宗教教义、福音。
对话最后女声说：Preach. I'm hitting the hay early tonight. 意思是"说得太对了，我今晚早点睡"。
其它例子：A说"Exercise is good for you." B回"Preach." 或者 "Stop complaining so much." "Preach."
好，结构讲完了。我们再学几个重点单词，都是对话里出现的。
1. deliberately 故意地
对话里说：humans are the only animals that deliberately delay sleep.
你可以说：He deliberately ignored my message.
2. binge 狂看剧或者视频，也就是我们说的刷视频
注意：binge 作动词时，常见搭配是 binge on 或 binge-watch。
对话里说：stay up late binging videos.
更地道的说法：I binge-watched the whole season in one night. 或 I binged on videos all weekend.
3. power through 硬撑着做下去
对话里说：chug coffee to power through.
注意：power through 后面通常接具体的事情或任务，而不是抽象状态。
更自然的说法：chug coffee to power through the afternoon / power through the last few hours of work.
你也可以说：I was exhausted but I powered through the last hour of work.
4. lose track of time 忘记时间
对话里说：lose track of time saying "just five more minutes."
你可以说：I was so focused that I lost track of time.
5. burning the midnight oil 熬夜工作、学习，这是我们中文里面的点灯熬油的意思
对话里说：next time you're burning the midnight oil.
你可以说：She's been burning the midnight oil to finish her report.
6. hit the hay 睡觉的俚语
对话里：I'm hitting the hay early tonight.
例句：It's late, time to hit the hay.
最后，我们挑两个最重要的句型，你可以模仿造句。
句型一：... is the only ... that + 动词
对话原文：Humans are the only animals that deliberately delay sleep.
结构：主语 + be + the only + 名词 + that + 动作
你的练习：
Humans are the only animals that wear clothes.
Humans are the only animals that use money.
Humans are the only animals that cook their food.
句型二：None of them + 动词（复数形式）
对话原文：None of them set alarms to wake up early.
注意：none of + 复数 时，动词常用复数形式
你的练习：
None of the students remembered to bring the book.
None of the apps solve this problem.
None of us want to go.
