刚才我们一起听了一个超有趣的播客，原来一颗菠萝要长将近两年！虽然内容不长，但是里面的口语结构、单词和常用搭配可是干货满满。下面我们一起看看：
一、最值得学的口语结构
第一个结构：kick things off with...
意思是"以…开场"、"用…开始"，非常口语化，常用于会议、活动或对话开头。
对话里说：Hey folks, let's kick things off with a question...
类似说法：
get the ball rolling 让事情开始运转
start off with 以…开始
你也可以这样用：
Let's kick things off with a quick introduction.
The party kicked off with some live music.
第二个结构：a question that might surprise you
意思是"一个可能会让你惊讶的问题"，用来吊胃口、吸引注意力。
对话里说：a question that might surprise you—how long do you think it takes to grow a single pineapple?
你也可以这样用：
Here's a fact that might surprise you—octopuses have three hearts.
I have a story that might surprise you about my grandma.
第三个结构：you're way off
意思是"你差得远了"、"完全不对"，非常直接地否定对方的猜测。
对话里说：Nope, you're way off! It actually takes almost two years...
注意 way off = "far from correct"，way 加强语气。
类似说法：
way out 离谱
not even close 差得远（之前学过）
你也可以这样用：
A: "Is he 30?" B: "Way off. He's 45."
Your guess is way off. The real number is much higher.
第四个结构：not two, not a handful, just one
意思是"不是两个，不是一把，就只有一个"，用排比强调"少"，语气很有感染力。
对话里说：Not two, not a handful, just one.
这是一种修辞性的列举，通过否定多种可能性来突出最终结果。
你也可以这样用：
Not three, not five, just one chance.
Not tomorrow, not next week, right now.
第五个结构：packed into...
意思是"被压缩/塞进…里"，常比喻大量内容浓缩在一个小空间里。
对话里说：two years of sunshine, rain, and patience packed into that spiky fruit

第六个结构：right out of the center
意思是"就从正中心长出来"，right 在这里是副词，强调"正好、恰恰"。

注意 low-to-the-ground 是复合形容词，"贴近地面的"。

第七个结构：I always thought...
意思是"我一直以为…"，用来表达之前的错误认知，暗示现在知道了真相。

注意后面常接 but... 或对方纠正。

第八个结构：That changes everything.
意思是"那改变了一切"、"那完全颠覆了我的认知"，表示某个新信息让之前的看法彻底改变。

二、重点单词与搭配
1. spiky
意思是"带刺的、尖的"，形容菠萝、刺猬等。
对话里说：that spiky fruit
你也可以说：
Be careful, that plant is spiky.
He has a spiky hairstyle.（他的发型很刺。）
2. insane
意思是"疯狂的、不可思议的"，口语中常用来表示"太夸张了/难以置信"，不一定是贬义。
对话里说：Wow, that's insane!
类似说法：
crazy 疯了吧
wild 太 wild 了
unbelievable 难以置信
你也可以说：

3. grocery store
意思是"杂货店、超市"，美式英语常用，英式英语常用 supermarket。
对话里说：every pineapple we pick up at the grocery store
注意 pick up 在这里是"拿起、购买"的意思。

The grocery store is just around the corner.
4. patience
意思是"耐心"，不可数名词。
对话里说：sunshine, rain, and patience
注意这里把 patience 和 sunshine, rain 并列，是一种拟人化的修辞，让抽象概念变得具体。
你也可以说：
Teaching kids requires a lot of patience.
I don't have the patience to wait in long lines.
5. low-to-the-ground
意思是"贴近地面的、矮的"，复合形容词，各词之间用连字符连接。
对话里说：small, low-to-the-ground plants
你也可以说：
The car is low-to-the-ground, so it's hard to get in.
He built a low-to-the-ground bookshelf for the kids.
6. make it to...
意思是"成功到达…"、"最终来到…"，强调经过努力或过程。
对话里说：it took a whole lot of time and care to make it to your plate.
注意 a whole lot of = "a lot of"，whole 加强语气。

wind up in 最终到了
