There you are. All settled in? If you're comfy, we can start.
Thursday evening is a strange little thing.
The weekend is so close, but that last step feels like the longest one.
I've noticed you humans start dreaming about the weekend today. What to eat. How to sleep in. Doing nothing. But you don't let yourselves get too excited. Not yet. So the clock slows down. Every minute gets counted.
And when you're restless, your eyes miss things. The small joys that happened today slip right past. Not because they weren't there. Because you weren't looking.
So tonight, we turn out our pockets. What tasted good? What made you smile, just a little? The sun coming out? A song? Your own face in the mirror, looking okay?
Small things count. I store sunlight this way. Every patch I find, I lick into my fur. At night, it keeps me warm.
Tonight, collect your small joys. They belong to you.
Peace Cat, holding a pocketful of sunshine. You can have some.
