- Laura Vaccro Seeger:十年电台工作背景,华丽转身成为优秀童书人
她是《纽约时报》畅销童书榜单上的长销作者,获得了2次凯迪克银奖,2次苏斯博士银奖,《纽约时报》最佳插画奖,《波士顿环球报》最佳绘本奖等诸多殊荣。但创作绘本并不是Laura的第一份工作。她的绘本大多是采用了模切技术的概念绘本,总是充满惊喜,让人眼前一亮。在成为绘本作家和插画师之前,她在电视台工作了十多年,担任动画师、设计师、编辑、制片人等角色,为NBC(国家广播公司)和ABC(美国广播公司)制作了不少节目开场动画和特别的视频内容,也曾因此荣获过艾美奖。 Laura热爱电视行业。当她成为一名母亲之后,很快发现,高强度的工作无法让她实现陪伴孩子成长的心愿。艰难的抉择之后,她选择离开,开始创作自己的绘本。她的丈夫、音乐人Chris Seeger来自一个音乐之家。丈夫的叔叔Pete Seeger是非常著名的美国民谣歌手。Laura想把一些民谣变成绘本,得到家人的支持,于是有了她的第一本绘本,和Pete Seeger合作的民谣绘本《I Had A Rooster》(《我曾有一只公鸡》)。 慢慢地,她又了越来越多自己的作品。她坦言,能够创作出这么多优秀的作品,一方面和遇到的很棒的编辑有关,另一方面,她无时不刻都会用笔记本记录下自己的灵感。而从她有记忆开始,自己就一直在画画,编故事,很早就开始制作自己的“绘本”。 本期节目我们主要围绕她的颜色三部曲展开了讨论,聊到了她的灵感来源、创作方法、童年记忆、育儿理念...... 更多细节欢迎收听节目!

Carson Ellis is the author and illustrator of the bestselling picture books Home, In the half Room and Du Iz Tak? (a Caldecott Honor book and the recipient of an E.B. White Read Aloud Award). She has illustrated a number of kids books as well. Apart from making children's books, she 's the illustrator-in-residence for her husband Colin Meloy's band, The Decemberists, and received Grammy nominations in 2016 and 2018 for album art design. She works sporadically as an editorial illustrator for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and others publications and exhibits art on occasion. Barbara has received many awards, including the Ezra Jack Keats Award, the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People, The Governor General’s Award for Illustration for The Party, and the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Award for The Subway Mouse. She's also the Honorary Chair of family literacy in Canada, and played a very important role in promoting reading and family literacy. 【嘉宾Guest】 American Author and illustrator Lane Smith. website:https://www.lanesmithbooks.com/ Lane has received the Lifetime Achievement award from the Society of Illustrators and has been honored by the Eric Carle Museum for “lifelong innovation in the field of children's books.” He is the author and illustrator of the New York Times bestseller It’s a Book which has been translated into over twenty-five languages and he has written and illustrated lots of otherstuff like Grandpa Green, which was a 2012 Caldecott Honor book and There Is a Tribe of Kids, which won the Kate Greenaway medal in 2017. His titles with Jon Scieszka include the Caldecott Honor winner The Stinky Cheese Man and The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, both ranked among the 100 best all-time picture books by TIME magazine. Lane’s books have been New York Times Best Illustrated Books on five occasions.
